I'm a newbie here.. I've got two giant african land snails called Terry and June. They are 11 months old. I've just come back from a day away and have found for the first time some eggs in their pen... I've left the eggs in the old pen and put Terry and June in a larger pen..

Welcome to the forum Sarah ;D
how many eggs do you have? you probably don't want to keep them all (if any) as you might struggle to find homes for them.
Brian.

Hi Brian
There aren't many eggs about 8. My local Aquarium in Guernsey doesn't have any snails. They have lizards / tortoises etc etc.. They said they would be interested in having a few for display. They look after their animals very well so I don't have issues with letting them have a few.
Also my sons school has been on the lookout for a new school pet / mascot. When my son did his ESB recently he spoke about the snails and took them in. Everyone was fascinated by them. I might consider allowing them to have a snail or two but on the understanding that they read up on them and maybe join this forum for information on how to look after them.
Ideally I would like to keep several different breeds of snail. I only have these two at present. Would you be able to give me an idea of what other snail I should go for?
I'm a bit of an animal fanatic.. I have large tropical fish / tortoises and 6 cats!!! Oh and of course Terry and June..
