is there a good way to catch snails? I do not want to keep a large african species, but am now snailless since the death of my cepaea nemoralis gary. So how would i go about finding local snails?

all you have to do realy is go out after it has rained heavily, which will be soon if you live in the uk lol, and you will find plenty. if you are traviling away from your garden to get them then take a small tub with air holes and whet kitychen paper in the bottom hope you have fun

oh dear, try looking inside plant pots, around the edge of things, under large rocks, and places where they may feel safe it cant be too hard to find one

Wait til it's rained / has been raining, and have a look in areas of heavy vegetation, poke around under leaves and bushes to see if you can find any hiding. They might also be under pieces of wood, fallen leaves, etc!

i found several dark bodied glass snails, a garlic snail, and a small cepaea nemoralis. the cepaea nemoralis is a juvenile, all others are adult.
