Thanks, I wish I could but my neighbour is over 80 so don't think he will get it and I don't know the others. I asked my friends but ...... well the look on their face's said it all!

I've left my snails home alone a couple of times and they seem to manage it. If it's for a longer time I put live lettuce in a pot in the tank and spray extra before I leave. Most often I find them burrowed when I return but otherwise in good condition.

i guess in the wild they would just "cope" so a few days should be ok i think - i know they are different but we have a tank of GS (as well as some GALS) & my OH was home looking after them while i went away for a WEEK !! seeing as the GS had teeny babies in the tank i threw a LOT of slow rot food (sweet potato carrot etc) in NO cabbage lettuce type stuff at all & an extra spray then told OH they would be fine til Thursday just to spray thru the vents BUT coz the babies had congregated on the lid & around the rim of the opening he couldnt get in (i can but im used to them) & sadly had to leave them when i got home on day 7 they were all ok most had seeled in BUT they were fine good luck & let us know how you got on

I normally leave him alone when I am away for a couple of nights, if longer, I leave Curtis with some friends.
I'm very lucky some of them are actually asking me to look after him and remind me they are available to take care of him while I'm away!
