i have 5 Tiny Tiny Tiny baby helix aspersa in my old albino tub (the albino is now with the other snails)
i found them in the garden 2 days ago and am now having second thoughts about keeping them.
last night i had a nasty nightmare about the mites that might be living on the babies because i dont know how to clean them (they are so small i am scared of dropping them down the plug or drowning them)
i think maybe i will put 3 of them back in the wild and keep 2 (which i will try to wash)
help! please!

well mine is about 1cm in length tentacles to tail. No problem. For mine I jst put the tap water as little as it could come out, then I jst put it under it. It luvs it. HEEHEE if your scared that it could fall into the drain. Then jst plug it,(block it) even though there's water and it could fall into the water, jst quickly pick it up it would survive. and for the shell, u could just wash it with bare fingers. wellll that's wat I do ^.^

well I'm not sure, but since mine and urs are babies, I don't think it's best to keep plastic or fake plants since they try to eat everything green! lol

heya, just a thought for washing tiny tiny(!) snails is to put them in a siv from the kitchen(like for sivving flour etc) and put the snail in there, then let the water go over them. all the water will disappear through the siv, and the snail cant drown or fall anywhere!

ooooooh! Nice thinking! That's a great idea too! It's too hard for my bbaby snails too wash. The water is kinda strong soo they seem to slip or run away from the water. lol
