awww, adorable. I find a little grease helps with the wheel creaking (I have a hammy to). Pity she didn't get the not chewing that bars real noisily all night memo...

I have tried greasing the wheels but for some reason it made it worse - how i managed that i dont know hahaha Have you tried rubbing lemon over the bars of your hamster cage malti? its always best to discourage bar chewing ;D

can't, Jasmine has a skin condition making her loose her fur, shes not allowed anything acidic, chemical etc. Poor wee thing, she looks weird with a bald bum .Still adorable though.

when I kept them in earshot of my room, the wheel noise was soothing to say the least

Its soothing in the fact that i know they are ok! ;D not my hubbys fave noise though haha aww Rachel she must look so adorable with a bald bottom but poor little Jasmine must be cold in the winter , my last hammie Kevin went bald practically all over from skin allergies he was happy enough though. I had to use the soft bedding all over the cage instead of sawdust.

it only started late spring, but in winter she'll be given extra bedding. She gets lots of special attention though, and shes not really bothered by it as far as we can tell. She still hangs by one back foot from the cage roof and stuff like that

My Molly is a monster like that.... I hear bars reverberating, a scuffle and then a plop as she falls off the roof onto something!!!
Molly, luckily, didn't take to her wheel, so I manage to escape that noise, but I do get scrabbling and digging all night, and chewing the bars; she pulls on them and lets them go!!!!
Freak ;D
