Hi all!
I have seven rescued snails in a tank - four helix aspersias and three cepaea nemoralis. My longest-serving c.n. used to be really feisty, but now he spends most of his time up inside his shell, attached to the wall by a membrane, while the other two charge about the cage looking feisty.
I read recently that this type only eats dead and decaying food. I've been feeding them the same lettuce, apple, etc. as the helices, but I'm not sure any more if this is the right thing. I've had him for a couple of months, and I would have thought he'd have looked poorly before now if he was hungry, but I'm not sure.
Can anyone help?
many thanks!!
Adam

I'd suggest letting a little cucumber go off in the tan and seeing if he'll eat that. Also a daily warm bath should help perk him up.
