My snail has been off his food for a few days and now has a strange white sac protruding from his mouth area, I don't know what it is or what to do. I have another snail who is absolutely fine. Does anyone know what this is? It does look a bit like the prolapsed gut, but my snail is still alive can i save him?

Dunno what it can be to be honest... Only kind of well ''medicine'' I have read when it comes to snails, is green tea, since it can be soothing. Maybe try and offer him some of that, and feed him some mushy food, might be easier for him to eat so he get some nutrtion.

It may not be bona fide gut extrusion, but it sounds similar to swollen mouth (which some people think is a precursor to gut extrusion). I lost a snail to swollen mouth. As far as I know, there is nothing that can be done for it. It is probably best for you to euthanize your snail.
I'm so sorry.
