Since I'm 10 and if i keep my room tidy till Wednesday ill get some helix pomatia snails. If they breed with my H.aspersa will the eggs from pomatia be full pomatia or a mix or pomatia and aspersa? Also do pomatia's lay eggs rapidly or do they do it like every 5 months? Thanks I cant wait ill hopefully post some pictures! If you have any advice like what t feed H.pomatias or if i shouldn't keep them with my H.aspersas please post or send me a message thanks again Claudiax (snailgirl23)

Hi, Helix pomatia and Helix aspersa (= Cornu aspersum) are different species, and different species normally don´t breed crosswise. There are several exceptions from this general rule, but I never heard of crossbreedings between Helix pomatia and Cornu aspersum – perhaps someone in this forum has heard about it. Moreover: as far as I know, there are some differences in the copulation behaviour between H. pomatia and Cornu aspersum. Kind regards: wolf

Even if they try to mate and one or both go so far as to lay eggs, I doubt the eggs will hatch. I have seen aspersas mate with milk snails (Otala lactea), but the eggs never hatched. The eggs were probably infertile to begin with.
Care for your pomatia the same as your aspersa, and they should be fine.
