okay, don't think that he have been thrown away with the food then. And youre sure youve checked every millimeter of the soil? Are there any other places where it is possible to hide for them? It can also be possible that he somehow managade to escape the tank somehow

It's okay he can't go very far, he's most likely asleep somewhere. Just look for him on every piece of furniture in the day while he's not moving about. If you still can't find him, leave some food out everywhere and wait till he goes hungry. I had a snail escape, i found him in the evening munching on some paper under the bed lol, it was easy to find him because of the trails left on the carpet

A few of mine have been escaping recently too, I believe it happens when I go to feed them, they stay on the lid & then use that time to go out to explore, I always count them now though. The only thing you can really do is wait. Like pandora said leave him some of his fave food out & Romans do leave a very visible trail so that might help. Close the door(s) and make it so he can't escape to anywhere else so he's definitely in that room, also just watch where you're going & get everyone else to too & if you have any pets like cats or dogs don't let them in that room because I know mine, especially the cat, would probably have a go at eating it. I really hope you find Coconut soon.

Have you checked your room? Under every furniture, everything? Snails would try to find so hiding place from day light.

Awwwww Yeah check absolutely anywhere & everywhere, he could be in so many places as they aren't really big snails, put all his fave types of food & treats in each room then if anything's been eat you'll know which room he's in & that he's safe my Romans love berry pellets, I gave them a few last night & they had all been eat this morning so you could try getting some of those. Sorry I can't help you more, really wish I could

My dog would eat the stuff but the thing is with my pomatias are they rarley come out so he might not come out of his hiding place once i had aspersa's and i lost mine with a yellow stripe and a year later i found it in the wall (it had found a hole wih some moss stuff and that bit was bricked up.

I didn't know you had a dog so that's not the best idea. I think the best thing to do is have a proper look everywhere, he has got to be somewhere. Him rarely coming out is more of a good thing because it means it's more likely he won't be far away from his tank. Spend a couple of hours looking around your house, starting with the room his tank's in, look in every corner, under everything he could have possibly got under. Look at the chances of finding your aspersa after a year, if that can happen, it's very likely you'll beable to find a bigger snail who doesn't move often after a week. Good luck.

A couple of years ago one of my milk snails escaped. I left the lid off for no more than one minute, and I thought he was asleep on the side of the tank, so I didn't double-check for him when I replaced the lid. The next day I could not find him in the tank. I didn't know where to begin to look in the house, either. I felt just awful. The following day I happened to find him, estivating on the leaf of a spider plant right next to the tank! Somehow he woke up, crawled up the inside of the tank, down the outside of the tank, across the table, up into the flower pot saucer, up the side of the flower pot, across the potting soil, and up into the spider plant, all in under one minute when my back was turned. I was so glad I'd found him, and that he was okay! I've also had snails bury in the substrate so cleverly I could not find them, even full-grown aspersas. (At least, not without dismantling the entire tank.) I hope you find your snail!

Thanks i have searched for him in the whole house and i can't find him But on the happier note when i went to my nanas with my sis and cousin we made a den in a forest next to my nanas house and i lifted up some melted metal and there was a grove snail! it was a pure colour it was a mix of pink grove snail and brown grove snail so it was a orangy pink colour i called her Strawberry and when the light shines on her shell it lights up orange!
