Hi Everyone,
Many thanks for all your replies to my last post regarding the very strange behaviour of my snail.
I will try the warm bath and honey but as an update his behaviour has become stranger over the last 24 hours.
Yesterday afternoon he tried to move up the side of his plastic tank - which he has had all his adult life - but he fell off backwards on to his shell so we had to pick up him up again to right him as he didn't do it himself.
I put a fresh piece of cucumber next to his head along with his cuttlebone.
During the night he has crawled over the cucumber and cuttlebone without eating anything and stuck himself to the bottom edge of the tank but he was on his back again - I gently pulled him off and put him right.
He has never fallen off anything before and certainly not stayed on his back for any length of time.
He is not in hibernation as his foot and head (but no eyestalks) are out. He doesn't retract when you pick him up or spray him which he used to do instantly.
Any further advice / information would be gratefully received.
Many thanks Kate

It sounds like he is getting quite weak. It is not a good sign he crawled past the food without eating. I can't think of anything else you might try. I'm so sorry; I wish I had more advice for you.

Is your snail on his own? I'm simply asking because I know someone on another forum whos snail was seemingly giving up and acting like your ect. then when she added another similar sized snail it started to act normally again. This may not work, but I just thought you might like to know it could help. But then, if your snail is not on it's own then just disregard this comment Good luck
