In the beginnig of March I got a package with 5 beautiful achatinas. Three of them were too small to be clearly seen on photoes but the other two were already quite big so I took some photoes with a mobile phone. Baika and Babaika And Three-Tinies. My gastropoda giraffes turned out to be quite malicious - they gulped back poor bread and cabbage without mercy =) Three-Tinies grew very fast and soon they got their own names: Ba, Baida and Bunya. They are pretty curious and one day Ba ran away and fell down from the fan - his shell was damaged pretty much but now he is okay. Gastropoda giraffes like to pose for photoes very much =) But some of them are pretty agressive and will try to eat your fingers! XD Others will eat the packaging and spill all the sugar around and then just give you a wink saying: " Hey, that wasn't me - it was an one-eyed snail!" But snail's life is a hard one and sometimes they even have to work as a taxi. While bathing the gastropoda giraffes are inclined to creating herds. And there will always be Bunyas-Kings-of-the-Hill... ...and Babaikas-Outsiders. But all wish to become a part of herd. - Hey, Boss, who's that?- Hey, Boss, think I can eat him?But led by an Almighty-Guru-Ba-Who-Had-Cognized-the-Rising-and-the-Fall... ...everyone leave for a crusade in search of So-Soft-and-Tasty-Toilet-Paper.

Aw what lovely pictures! Thank you! The smallest one out of my three GALS likes to get on the bigger one as a taxi. It's so cute!

They're beautiful snails!
Are you keeping them on sawdust? It would be better to keep them on coir, soil, or sphagnum moss as these retain moisture better and are more comfortable for snails.

morningcoffee, I tried soil but because of heating in autumn/winter season it dries very fast and also I have a huge problem with midges - they just keep rearriving no matter what I do. So I keep snails on a mix of sawdust and coniferous bark. If you keep spraying the walls twice a day humidity is just okay.
