I recall smithii being in captivity although i dont know much about them x

ok thank you both, i am writing a book on the care on land snails and so i need to know what ones are kept in capitivity, so any help is much appreciated

what do you meen. yes i am writing a book but i cant do it about every species of snail there is, so i am trying to find out what snail are in captivity (that im not sure about)

I have seen the following from your list offered for sale (at least under that name but that doesn't mean it is actually that species) but few people have them and not much captive breeding has occurred as far as I am aware.
A. iostoma & A. bandeirana (these are part of the same complex) A. tincta A. zanzibarica A. stuhlmanni
A. monochromatica is a synonym of A. achatina var. monochromatica which I believe has already been mentioned in another thread.
To me care seems similar in all Achatina ssp. so I don't think species is that relevant. Is your book planned to be restricted to this genus?

no, it is for all speices kept in captivity. i have owned over 23 species in total now. but i have now had to sell all my snails but i am still doing my book. i have 3 lever arch folders full of reaserch but there so much more i need
