Couldnt you ask the seller for pictures of the adult snails? that may help identify them.

Well on that ebay page it says they will grow to about 10cm/4 inches. If that helps lol Probably not.

They're quite pretty. I like the skin colour it's lighter than mine. I'd have some if I had the room lol.

Yes. A lot don't read up on how to destory the eggs, or don't check places like ebay before hand to see how many other people are selling them! They then end up with a big problem. That's why it's great that person made the snail shelter. Very kind thing that is. Hmmm.. I'm still being tempted by it's pretty skin. Lol. *Counts tanks again*

I brought 5 of these from ebay they really are beautiful, I already have quite a few fulica but i got these just so i could have a closer look. Their skin is very light in real life and the stripes are so well defined they really dont look like fulica i have looked at the gallery on petsnails and i think the babies look more like smithii! But the picture of the adult is pretty much a run of the mill fulica. Even if they are fulica i count myself lucky to have them they are really pretty and growing very rapidly, they are more voracious eaters than my other fulica of the same age.

Judging by the picture of the adult I think they're definitly fulica. Achatina smithii look different to the ones at the top of this page, heres one of my ones They have a pink/purple columella also, whille fulica' has a blusish-white columella.

Yeah that adult is definately a fulica, but looking at these snails in real life they actually are very similar to the picture of your smithii! I cant get a good look at their columella because they are all happily eating! I need to be looking at the smooth area opposite the lip on the underside is that right?

Yeah, I posted a picture earlier (of one of my marginata ovum) which shows his columella colour, here you can see its light orange

Having looked at the columella of all my snailsive seen that there is quite a difference especially as i assume they are all A fulica. I have some older snails with very pale blue and younge rones with darker blue, i also have another one with a yellowy columella. The snails under discussion in this thread all have white columella, there is no hint of any other colour.
