Last night and this night two of my huge fulicas slept away. They were hibernation in winter and this heatwave was too much for them. I did everything I could that tank would be cooler, but they started to sleep 24/7. Other one I put to sleep at 10.07 pm. I couldn't get it active anymore. Between mantle and shell something was coming out I went to my dad and said this isn't normal, I should put him to sleep and he agreed with me. I save shells as memory of them and tomorrow I do the same to snail that is currently in freezer (empty the shell after it has been melt). Snails turned 4years old this summer they were really old compared to that fact snails in Finland are really inbreeded. I'm just little sad. I'm big girl so I don't cry. But it makes me little sad that there's just something that you can't control like weather.

Oh that is very sad. Sorry to hear about the loss of your two lovely snails. It's like our harsh winter that we had where some of us couldn't maintain proper heat, only in reverse. Such a shame.

I'm so sorry for your loss, crossless. I know you did everything you could to take the best care of them, but no one has control of the weather. They may be gone, but they will always have a place in your heart.
Rest in peace, Krapula and Darra.

This is so sad, I'm really sorry to hear this.
Everybody knows you give your snails the best care and attention any snail could wish for.
RIP
