I have the connection with the Chinese trade in China, but the thing is they want to charge a high cost for the shipping (more than what I know it worth) If anyone knows how to get cheaper shipping, then problems might be solved.

don't forget about saving one for me as i would really love to have an albino fulica!!!! Josh If I ever do find them they would be a minimum of 2 per person, unless the person already has one of them, like all the other snails I sell and trade.

For anyone also searching for suppliers. I have come across a few variations in names - White Fulicas, White Meat snails and the ones in the picture were refered to as White Jade snails Tigs

how much did they say felix They asked for £120.00 for the basic shipping costs, which they quoted for only 10 - 15 snails (the fulicas are not even fully grown adults), and the minimum snails I need to order is 50 snails +. The snails themselves are not expensive, but they tend to add the shipping cost. I for one know exactly how much the airmail shipping cost, even for the courier.

JEEPERS - everyone take a deep breath! Tigs - thanks for the info on the variations in their name. The shipping costs seem astronomical like you say Felix- if it was for more snails the costs be spread amongst those taking the snails but for 10 to 15 you couldn't even cover that. Kevin -agree with minimum 2 per person - we would need to get these bred viably here.

I was only saying I was interested in case this actually came about, but the chances are it wont. Might be worth re-iterating this is unlikely to come about and if it does they're going to be in limited numbers and very pricey, for the new members here who might think they're easy to get hold of.
Out of interest, has anyone ever seen these in the UK?

Must admit, I have not tried hard to negotiate with them but was thinking to get my family out there to get involve, but meaning I will owe them a favour. I try to sort that out without involving family first, somehow I know I can get the shipping cost a lot less if needed. It's only a matter of time.

It could take weeks, or even a few months to find a reliable way of getting these, i'll be suprised if anyone finds a way to get them through looking on search engines etc..

I agree - I tried that the search engine approach. I think people who already have snail import connections or relatives abroad would be a key part in pulling it off if at all. Good luck everyone, twould be fantastic if it happens. Could we cover the shipping costs felix was quoted between people buying the snails do you think if we could get the with £120.00 10-15 snails mentioned that would mean people forking out roughly £10 up front - is that too much for anyone? Though that is just basic shippping and with the 50 minimum order..........
