Well, I have had mine a couple of weeks now and although they are still very much alive they are doing nothing!!! They have buried themselves in the coir substrate and there they stay, if I take them out they just go back again, they have not eaten anything at all and I have offered them just about everything you could think of. How are the others doing? I know that a few of us have them I was wondering if yours are more active than mine. I am beginning to think that mine are trying to hibernate.

My ones are doing ok, Im keeping them with my Megalobulimus, they're fairly active, they do burrow, but are active and moving around most nights, I keep them very humid, ive seen them eating lettuce.

My 4 are very active at night, usualy after midnight. I think they have grown but not much. They do like to bury but they slimying around the tank at night. I (well hubby has as I am away) feed them with apples, cucumbers, mushroom, sweet potatoes and lettuce. They have eaten quite a lot during the nights. The substrate they are in is pretty damp.
edit: I think their favourit is sweet potatoes and cuttlefish as I have seen orange and white poo.

Yep, tried carrot and I am also slicing everything thinly, the substrate is coir and is quite wet, temp is about 80F if I pick them up they aren't retracted or anything but they just seem to want to bury themselves at the moment Val

Not sure if this is any help but recently my Megalobulimus, did exactly the same. It lasted about 6 weeks and I was quite worried. They were inactive, not eating much and seemed to be in a state of dormancy. I'm happy to report though that they are fine and eating well again. Obviously it's something they are used to. Incidentally my 2 CB babies didn't do the same but then, they are a lot greedier than the WC parents.

Val,
Sorry for the lost. ((((Val)))
I am not too sure if I can suggest anything. I just checked your previous post, I keep mine in damp moss (not as wet as Margies / Tigers) but not as warm temp as yours. They are in the same room as I keep my Lignus, no heatmat or anything, the room temp is about 24 C, no higher than 26C (it is around 74 - 76 F?) I don't really spray any of my tanks because the condensation makes it very humid anyway. I do give them a bath every other day, just put them under the water tap for a few seconds.
I only put cuttlefish, sweet potatos and sometimes courgette. They also have an odd munch on the lettuce leaf.

Thanks felix, really appreciate any ideas, I will switch off the heatmat and try it cooler, as you say the condensation keeps it moist enough, will let you know if they like a cooler home!! val

Yes I did, I have unplugged the heatmat, I reckon that could have been what made the difference, thanks felix. Val
