This is my one (so think or thought I): But today visited someone told me that that could be another species too, cause they donĀ“t have the brownredish-bodycolour marginata usually have. Mine are more dark-brown (darker than in this pic). He mentioned could be a papyrecea? Found only a pic on Pauls website but only from a shell and not with a body. Their columella is bright pink. No pic possible cause they never go so far back in their shells. here is another pic of them: The 3rd pic on the black tablett, the left on the top and the 2 ones on the right side bottom petsnails.proboards3.com/index.cgi?board=snailpictures&action=display&n=1&thread=3238

People who say the body colour is wrong put too much faith in body colour. It is the least useful feature, most snails can have a variety of body colours.
There is one issue though, my papyracea (the ones listed) are not papyracea. I think they are almost certainly suturalis. They were wild-caught from Cameroon, are the correct size, bright columella oh, and they look nothing like the papyracea shells I've finally got to see of achatinidae.com. Raphael thinks they are suturalis.
But it does raise the question of others because mine are very unlike other suturalis listed as you can easily tell from the photos. They fit the profile in Bequaert exactly, especially in size. They are very small snails. A lot of the suturalis I see are quite large and not much smaller than normal margies. I wondering if they aren't typical or perhaps some of them are crossbreeds which we know can happen. Having said that we know they are very variable anyway.
I'll get more pictures to show you how striking they are. The goods news is one of them laid 9 eggs which I'm hoping will hatch so I may have some of the delightful little snails available in spring.
