Hello I need some help and fast. I noticed one of my snails looked a bit bloated when i cleaned them out and thought that it may just be as he was sprawled all over the glass. Now i looked at him today and he looks like his is coming out of his shell. I read some posts that it can be due to foot ETC I did give them a small bit of brown bread as i had read that this was ok and they didn't really touch it.. I don't know is this is something to do with it or not. I did read that you can puncture them in order to relieve some of the pressure but i am reluctant to do it at this stage as i don't really want to kill him. Please could someone take a look at the pic and give me some advice? Many Thanks Graham Attachments:

Hi Graham, welcome to the forum. Sorry about the trouble with your snail. From the pic, it looks like it might be mantle collapse, which is probably unrelated to the bread your offered them. You can read about mantle problems here: www.petsnails.co.uk/problems/mantle_collapse.html#startI have not heard about puncturing a snail to relieve pressure. Do you recall where you found out about that? Good luck with your snail. Let us know how he is doing.
