3 golden mystery snails (aquatic).. I wanted to ask how much, and what's the frequency of feeding ?
For example, a slice of cucumber or 2 slices, or 5 slices.. Or can we put half a cucumber or something in the tank and they can eat as much they want for as long they want ? (I know cucumber has no nutritional value, but fish like to nip at it and of course snails will eat it once in the enclosure!)
Similarly, apple slices, or half apple, with or without skin? other veggie foods how much For how long do we leave them in the tank?
How to feed zucchini? Blanched like we do for fish?

Snails have to have food always available. And change it when there's not much left or it's getting bad. You will get right ammount in servings by monitoring how much they eat per day. You can cut food in pieces and I have seen photos of water snails that have food placed in skewer and skewer is secured with somekind of weight to hold it in bottom of the tank. I once weigh a. fulicas food eating ammounts for about for week 10cm shell lenght snail ate about 4 to 10grams of food depending was it tomato/cucumber/salad or something more nutritious than those foods that have lower water content. When aquatic snails are about halve of size of normal sized land snail you could first try like about 2 to 5grams atleast per snail and add some extra so you can start to monitor how much they really need food and add more when almost all is eaten. Hope this helps you with first steps in serving snails some food. Hard vegetables like carrot/potato/sweetpotato is wise to sliced thinly to snails and to aquatic snails you could fold slices to skewer and put it in bottom of the tank and secure it in place.
