I'm a little confused about the classification of dimi's. I'm not sure whether I have an archachatina dimidiata or a achatina immaculata var dimidiata or dimidiata var two tone! Any ideas? He is about 8 months old and I have had him for 6. the only growth he has shown since I received him is from where you can see the shell changes colour and most of that has been in the last two months. He is 3cm.

Excellent. Now that I know for certain that he is of the achatina family I am free to find an archachatina of some sort to accompany him without fear of them laying eggs.

He wouldn't lay eggs at that size anyway. Mine never have. Are yours from Virginia Cheeseman - if so, I may have their siblings *lol*

Oooh hey up, now I'm confused. Is Beth the lady who passed hers on to VC? And was Alex's dimi from Beth too? Cos that'd mean they were still related *lol*

I'm sure that pic was used on the VC site when we bought Justin and co Lisa - so it's most likely that ours are Beth's originally too.

That's true - it could be just coincidence that they were about the same age and that photo etc.
