Hi ruchikabatra, welcome to the forum. We need a little more information in order to answer your question. Do you have a picture you could post here so we can help identify it?

IF you found your snail in the bay, it sounds like it is a marine snail, and we don't know a lot about sea snails here. We specialize in land snails, which require a different kind of care. You need to have a special salt water aquarium set up for your snail, and that requires special advice and knowledge that we just don't have.
Can you find an aquarium store near where you live? The people there would be happy to help you. Do a search on the Internet for salt water aquarium forums, and those people could probably help you out too. Sorry, we just don't know about marine snails here.

I want to discuss some of its habits- 1)it survived for 1 week without water(so does it respire through lungs or lungs or gills both) 2)we have kept it in water but sometimes it gets above on another shell and try to come out of water. 3)it has tentacles. can you suggest something?

The tentacles are probably its eyestalks and its siphon.
What kind of water are you keeping it in? Salt water species will eventually die in fresh water, and vice versa. It may be trying to get out of the wrong kind of water.
As long as its gills or lung is damp, it can absorb oxygen from the air. But it cannot live like that indefinitely, it is a big stress on the animal not to be in its proper environment.
I think it's best for you to consult with a salt water aquarium shop for some advice, because as I said, we know about land snails here but not about marine snails. They are very different animals that require specialized care to live healthy lives.
