I know it's probably not a big deal or anything, but why do my snails always eat my fingers when I pick them up? It makes me a little nervous to hold them.

try giving them some soaked dog buscuit and i dont know if youve found this out dont let them near your cuticals they can make u bleed personal experience

Maybe they smelled something on your fingers that they wanted to taste. I've had my snails rasp on my hands and fingers now and then. Try washing your hands before picking up your snails (and, of course, wash again after you put them back). Or wear rubber gloves while handling them.
