This is in the right section. Off the top of my head, this snail reminds me of a Helicodonta, but I don't know if they're found anywhere in California. If anyone else can help narrow this down, please chime in.

I found a few more of these snails since it started raining, so I'm trying to figure out what they are again. They're only about a millimeter long! The closest I've come to is punctidae, but I can't find very many pictures or information for them.

There are several species of landsnails with hairy shells. Snail on the pictures could be trochulus hispidus, also known as trichia hispida.

According to Roth's Checklist of the Land Snails and Slugs of California, T. hispidus is not known to be in California, but Punctidae are.
