One of my brown lipped banded snails called jhon has what appears to be about a millimeter of love dart sticking out a little way back in between his eyes, i was just wondering if he will ever get rid of it and will it cause him any pain or on going problems with it being in the middle of his head... :S

It should drop out eventually. If your snail was irritated by it it would most likely be trying to withdraw into it's shell and may even produce bubbly slime (which is thought to be a way of getting rid of unwanted things on the skin and is a common reaction to sgtress and discomfort).

I had a similar case once - a snail which was not able to extend its right tentacle after having received a love dart. Anyway, you can well use a pair of pincers and pull out the love dart - that won't do the snail any harm Sometimes, when they are stuck in more deeply, love darts do not fall of by themselves.
