hi all i have never had these before, and sold some of my snails in a swap for some margies and tigers well in the deal the seller sent me 5 of these. now i have fallen in love with them but dont have a clue. i did lose one as 4 of them turned up with real bad damage in transit but seem to be doing ok but what conditions do they like an how to get them breeding thanks in advanse

Hi Keira, do you live in England?, because if you do, some helix pomatia do live here, and so normal indoor conditions should be just fine for them, they certainly don't need a heat mat while the house is heated (except maybe in winter, unless you let them hibernate) I wouldn't think they need spraying, unless it is very dry, maybe just one spray every couple of days? just keep the soil slightly moist I would imagine. I don't know about breeding, but for general info you could look here: www.petsnails.co.uk/care/breeding.htmlAlso, one last thing, who did you get these snails from? as I am looking at getting some myself

hi thank you soo much, im really happy i have given them a new home today and the new shell growth although a bit weird looking is great and they are all alive, i actually got them off someone on ebay, lovely helpful person selling but said on thier profile will swap items for other species which is what i did he sent me 5 tigers, 5 margies and these helix

hi again more advise please, looking at loads of helix species im not actually sure what mine are. as they have a pink colour on the swirl like a sut any advise on how to determine the different helix species?

hi i will try, but as there is / was so much shell damage and new growth i dont know if it will show up. but if nothing else you guys get to see some more cuties ;D and i get to show off my the little fella's whos nearly died but are now eating me out of house and home
