How long have they had them do you know? I thought the snail season had just started at the markets so they would spend a good few months building them back up

Seller seems very nice and very genuine. They are very nice snails and the ones I received were in not bad condition

I was very tempted myself. I have seen the feedback of one person who have received their snails and it looks good. I'm surprised these have not been snapped up really, they're a very good price. I'm trying to save my pennies otherwise I would have taken the plunge. Of course there is always a risk with Brixton rescues, I've known people to have rescued some and have appeared to be on the road to recovery, when all at once their health deteriorates, but they often do well.

I was very tempted myself. I have seen the feedback of one person who have received their snails and it looks good. Haha, I wonder if that was me? Did it say something about them sleeping? ;D I got 4 yesterday through the post, there's one that I'm a little worried about, he's not fully coming out of his shell, just his foot. I hope that he's just resting from having a hard time. I'm just going to leave him alone now and wait and see! The others are fine though, you can definitely tell they're wild! They act very differently to my CB margies!

Do they? How do they act? If I had more room then I would, just wish it was 2 weeks down the line as I'd have more space

I find them a lot shyer, more easily frightened and this sounds silly, but they are slower moving than my CBs. I have one on my hand right now actually hehe. Getting a bit worried about the poorly one, his body is moving further and further up inside his shell. *Hopes*

Thanks so much for the link, I checked him a minute ago but he was more retracted than ever and his skin was looking a little strange. I think he may have either died very recently, or he is very close. Either way, I did the humane thing and am putting him to sleep. Very sad that it has come to this, but I guess he just couldn't survive being taken away from his home in Africa.

Starting to look like mine have passed too. Oh dear... sorry to read that, Stieny. Doesn't really bode well for the rest of them, does it...? Perhaps the sudden shock of their change of enviroment was too much for the tiny fellows to bear... 'tis a real shame.

I still have 3 that are munching on grapes, luckily it was only the one that was poorly.

Sorry for the double-post, but I can add that my rescues weren't eating until I gave them green grapes, they just can't resist them! I hope that might be of some hope to someone? Stien, did yours pass away in the end? My three survivors are now doing very well in their new home.
