Hi, a couple of nights ago I found two, what I believe to be, eggs in one of my tanks which contains only an A. Reticulata, and an A. Fulica- I have read about snails laying infertile 'test eggs,' so I assume that is what this is? any help appreciated, thanks

Yeah few eggs are likely to be infertile or 'test eggs'

I thought so, and yes, these are their first eggs (though I don't know whose they are, they are 2 different species so obviously I'm not expecting them to breed)

Ah you have only 1 A. fulica and 1 A. reticulata together? If is like this, the eggs can be fertile only if the snails are with others in the past year! fulica and reticulata can't do fertile eggs because there are too much genetics diferrences between the two species.
-sorry for my english!!-
