I did refresh when I first looked at it, and I've just done it again but they still don't show. When I use my copy picture location thing, nothing pastes, so there's a box showing for pictures that aren't there lol.
I cleared all my junk the other day, but I'll do it again and see.

Just been on the page from a completely different location and IP and it works for me so I think it may be something at your end, although I did notice the page needs altering to make it look right in 800x600.

Well I'm on 1024 x 7 whatever it is lol It's not copying any link from the blank boxes at all, so maybe there aren't any pics there and firefox thinks there is lol Ok, that is what it is as I just checked it in internet explorer and it's fine lol. So Firefox is thinking there are images where there aren't... and therefore making the box that comes up when pics wont show Stupid FF.

I looked into it properly and there was something wrong with the page. Firefox was the most correct browser. It illustrates very well how M$ have destroyed the Internet by queering all the standards. IE allows badly written pages to look OK, other browsers that follow the standards don't. I was using Opera which has to tag behind MS and it looked OK too. But firefox did its job and showed the problem.
It's fixed now. I'll have to proof all the pages in firefox from now on.

Hi everybody,
I have some snails which I believe are Helix Aspersa. I would like to get some Helix Pomatia as well.
My problem is, I am not sure that all the snails I have are actually aspersa. Some may be pomatia. There are so many variations to the basic shell patterns.
How can I be sure to distinguish between the two species?
They are currently breeding and I have already located 6 clutches of eggs.

would you be able to post pictures? apart from differences with the shell pattern/colour, pomatia are much larger and bulkier than aspersa, upto 5-6cm shell length.

Hi everyone,
thanks for your replies. I will try to get some pictures. @ lotsofsnails: How did you attach the pictures to your reply?
I have some pictures of the snails and also of clutches of eggs which are now about to hatch. I also found a different snail with slightly orangey (brown/red) shell.
I did find some shells similar to the small picture of the pomatia, but it was only about 1cm. Possibly the snail can be larger if it lived longer.
With regards to location, I am in Guildford. Seeing from the map, I might be in a location were I can find pomatia in the garden.
PS: I am not very conversant with the use of forums. It took me sometime to locate my way in again. So I might tke sometime to come back again. Sorry!

Hi everyone, I think I found how to upload the images. I hope it works. The following is an image of some of my snails. I believe that they are all H.Aspersa. Some of these are approximately 3.5cm The following image is a cluster of eggs being laid by the snail in the picture. The next picture show the shell of a snail which I am not sure if it belongs to aspersa or pomatia. It resembles aspersa, but has a lighter shell and the charachteristic texture of a pomatia shell. Please note that it is the same shell taken from two different angles. I believe that I saw better ones, but it is dark at the moment in the garden. Any suggestions? This last picture shows the snail I mentioned in my previous post, orange or perhaps brown or reddish. I am not great at colours. The picture is of the same snail. Difference in size is due to my inaccuracy. Any one can identify it? Cheers, Anthony _

Hi, I have some new pictures of the newly hatched snails (H.Aspersa). Today is 22 July, 2008. This is the first walk in the outside world. If anyone can spare some. I am looking for a couple of H. Pomatia. (Idea: It might be nice to see who can grow the largest of each species.) Anthony. _
