Hi there, I have been asked if I knew somebody who keeps banana slugs in a terrarium and would be willing to part with some of them. Of course I at once thought of the pet snails forum. Is there anybody here who keeps them, preferrably from Europe, as the lady comes from Germany? I think it would be quite impossible to send living snails from the states, they would be senior citizens before they reached us Thanks for your answers, Kind regards Robert

I don't know anyone who keeps banana slugs anywhere. I only see them in the wild, I haven't tried to keep any myself.
I don't know how well a slug would travel though the shipping process, since it has no shell to retract into if conditions go awry along the route.
This is probably why more people aren't keeping slugs that aren't native to (or naturalized residents of) their local region.
