Hi All, Coyote suggested in my last post when I asked for help to Identify what types of Snails Zorst and Gary are, to write another post and ask everyone. So here I am, I've attached a clearer picture of Zorst, which will hopefully help. I have looked at loads of pictures of various types of snails and to be honest I'm not really without an idea. As many could be but then I look back at these two and some color or patterning is different. I'm totally new to this, give me any breed of horse to identify any day and I'm fine . But when it comes to Snails . The lady we got these two from wasn't 100% sure herself just that they were African land snails though she will try and find out. Anyway what ever they are they are very much loved by my daughters who are now collecting all sorts of snails from the garden as I found out yesterday evening when I walked into my room to find loads of snails everywhere, because the girls had collected them and not put anything on top of the containers to stop the getting out. UGH! Needless to say most were returned to the garden and pastures. Thankfully Zorst and Gary were fine safely tucked away form the chaos and slime in their home blissfully munching on sweet potato. (Please note the rocks in the photo, have now been removed from their home and replaced with moss.) Thanks in advance Zorst Attachments:

I would say fulica, when people don't know what species they are selling they generally are. The pic is a bit small on my phone so will look on laptop later but on here they look fulica. You'll prob find as they get older they whole shell goes dark. They ever so easy to keep

Great thanks, its kinda the way I was heading thoughts wise but they didnt seem dark enough, hence not being sure. That and the top spirls of their shells seemed a bit grey. Being easy to keep is great as well, the certainly seem to be eating well etc and free from any nasty beasties.

Thanks for all the opinion's, I really appreciate them. Tigers had also crossed my mind but then I looked back at these two and the skin color didn't look right. The patterning on their shells also seems not quite right. Though I was expecting shell color etc to change a bit, I'm still to new at Snail keeping to know for sure hence asking. I've attached another pic, its not great but shows the skin color a bit better. Thanks for the help Zorst Attachments:

Hi Zorst I agree with SnailsPace they can't be tigers because the animals are wrong. Whilst there are some similarities to immacs, the animals tend more to fulicas. So I'm going for filica with light patterned shells, the shells will probably darken as they mature.

Thanks very much Everyone, I'm happy to go with Fulicas as i was kinda heading more that way myself idea wise, but just wasnt sure. All I can say is that they are two well loved snails so what ever they are and I guess we'll know for sure in time. They will always be well cared for.
