When i first got my snails they where quite happy crawlling round on my hands but about 3/4 months ago the snails suddenly have started to refuse putting there heads on any Part of my hands, they will lift there head up and place it down on my skin the quickllly lift there heads up again, at first i thought i just had something on my hands and so washed them but they were having none of it. As fr as i knoeni havnt started using any hand cream or anything of that origin wich would deter the snails so im a bit stumped by the whple thing. Any suggestions?

Could it be something you eat? Just a suggestion. I'm thinking about how our skin smells of garlic if we eat it, and snails have probably a better sense for these things than we have. I would also guess that hormonal changes could be sensed by the snails, or even illness you don't know of yourself.

It might also be that your hands are merely too cold (or too warm) at the time.
Washing your hands before handling your snails is a good idea (and of course, washing them after handling snails is a better idea).
