One of my P. isabella laid a batch of eggs a few days ago. Yesterday, all of the eggs where eaten - and I think it was the snail that laid the eggs that ate them, but I'm not sure. Why did she eat the eggs?

I'm not sure. I suspect some of my garlic snails eat their eggs too, but I'm not entirely sure they're doing that. Maybe it's a need for more protein? I'm just guessing.

I was also thinking that they might need some more protein, so I will try feeding them protein more often from now on and see if that was why she ate the eggs. I'm still glad though, two other batches of P. isabella-eggs are hatching right now. I keep those eggs (now tiny little snails! ) in a separate container since they were laid just before I moved the adults to a larger container. ^^

It's quite common with P.isabella. I have tried adding protein but it doesn't seem to make a difference with mine. I've known of other people reporting this behaviour. Usually it's another snail, not the egg-layer, that eats the eggs (in my experience). Fortunately they're regular layers! The eggs of this species do not appear to be affected when moved, so yours should have a good chance of hatching
