About a month ago I found some garlic snails, but I can't figure out what kind of tank setup they like or what to feed them. They aren't very active, but I got them to eat some crushed snail eggs yesterday. So far that's the only thing they seem to like, and I can't give them eggs all the time. I've tried searching but there doesn't seem to be a lot of info on them. So, any tips at all (substrate, temperature, humidity, feeding) would be very much appreciated.

I give mine the same care as my aspersas, except I also provide some leaves for them to hide under (which they would do in their natural habitat) and I give them extra fish flakes and any unwanted snail eggs to eat. (They don't always eat the eggs, though, so I wouldn't rely on them for population control.) They will also scavenge on dead snails, and probably other dead things, but I don't want to put a lot of dead things in my snail tank (which I'm sure you can understand!).
They love the limestone powder blocks I made, too, but so do all my other snails (a lot more than cuttle).
They really don't climb the way most other snails like to do; instead they prowl around underneath leaf litter on the ground (that's why their shells are flat, unlike aspersas and the like), so they don't need things to climb on. Sometimes they will climb up the tank, but it's rare.

ya ditto what coyote said they like decaying leaf and moist organic substrate, and they like worms/etc also. you can cut them up if you want. They like a WAY more moist environment then a aspersa, imo. high organic compost /moss content.and you can put other snails / slugs in with them, and allow them to eat as they see fit.

Thanks for the replies. I'm going to try some of those things today.

I just thought of something else: If I were to keep woodlice in with them, would the snails eat them once they died, or even if I cut them up? That would be great if they would, because I already keep some in the other terrariums.

you could try. i'd do a test out of the normal habitat. I have never known a garlic snail to eat a woodlice, because they are way quicker and armoured, but as you say when they die perhaps....I just don't know personally. maybe coyote has tried?

I leave dead woodlice in the tank, and they disappear eventually. I can't say for sure who the culprit is, though, because I've never caught anyone in the act.
