I am quite excited this evening as one of my Rodatzis has laid eggs! I found them while I was cleaning their tank, so transferred them into a ventilated tupperware container with some sphagnum moss hoping that disturbing them hasn't affedted their development. Has anyone got any suggestions on humidity/temp levels for optimum hatching conditions? The only time I've ever had snail eggs was years back when two of my fulicas laid eggs and I didn't notice til the tank was full of tiny baby snails!
They are quite damp at the moment and at room temp of around 19oC... Not sure how many eggs there are... I'd guess around 50 - 60, but I'd rather not disturb them any more than I have already to count them... If they hatch I will count the babies I guess lol.
I am such a happy snail keeper... My first eggs! ;D

congrats on the soon to be babies, much luck with them. you can just over turn a tupperware container with holes over them also, until they hatch too.

Awe well done, I find they hatch lovely if left where they are, the eggs tend to get laid quite deep and I've not had any adults digging and crushing them before. But if you have removed them just try to keep conditions similar to where they came from. Good luck
