hi everyone today I just recieved another beauty he's called Alfie and he's an A. Fulica. He's only 1.5cm so he's still small he's smaller than Albina when I received her he's about 2 months old now. I thought of buying him so Albina would have some company but he's too small at the moment so I have to wait till he gets bigger to put them together. I also bought him because I wanted two gals and it would be interesting to have another species. I bought him in the preloved website The seller sold me him for free but I had to pay for the postage and the box so in total it was £5 which is a great price I still need to sell the money to her hopefully tomorrow. Now I need some advice about these species I know they are very common and would not be a challenge to look after but id love some advice please Right now he is stressed I can tell because he retracts quickly when I pick him up and isn't really active I hope gets settled down soon I put some lettuce in as I don't have any sweet potato at the moment and I put some cuttle in hasn't nibbled on anything I can tell he had a hard journey he might relax more tomorrow Any way I'll post some pics of him some day

That is awesome. This is really nice for you to of gotten that be someone who just wanted a good home for it, and willing to do it merely for the cost of postage and expense of the box. I can tell you will love him as much as your many others. As for the advice there is so much on the forum here already, you can merely just look through the pages and pages of good solid advice probably. (even though I am one of those people who believes continuing to talk about things and such is what keep s a forum live and interesting.)

Don't worry Greta, he just needs a few days to settle, mine were exactly the same at first. My little White Jades were so shy I was worried about them at first, especially the very smallest one which has finally plucked up the courage to peep out when on my hand after three weeks. I only handle them once a week to check growth at the moment as they were so shy. It will be so rewarding for you too to see him growing bigger and gaining confidence in his new home.

Fulicas are easy to keep, they are greedy eaters , who eat everything and not so fussy like my marginatas for example. I had fulicas before and they brought me great happiness and joy for all the years, that i had them. All the best to you.
