My snail laid its first eggs last sunday, my daughters school want some for their classroom, how old should the babies be before I let them go?

Hi doris2010 If I were you I'd wait maybe until their at least 10cm big but I'd say no more less than at least 2cm it's your choice really I'm jus saying what I wud do

For a school class, I would wait until the babies are at least about 2 cm in shell length. They are A. fulica, right? It wouldn't take so long for the babies to reach that size, they grow quickly. Congrats on the eggs!

Thanks for the replies. Yes they are A. fulica. Must say I was quite shocked when they laid the eggs now I am just excited, cant wait for them to hatch!
