About 3 weeks ago I bought a blue "mystery snail" from the pet store with the intention of having only one large snail. I actually looked up the little critters to be sure they weren't the infestation type of aquarium snail.. well they weren't supposed to be, I guess I just brought home a pregnant one. I never even noticed eggs.. but sure enough, today I noticed at least 3 baby snails. What can I do to keep them from reproducing more? How do I get rid of the babies? (without chucking them in the grass) Heeeelp mee.

Keep them I have two huge Apple Snails, Bramley & Pippin and more fun & entertainment you couldn't get ;D Please don't throw your babies out. Allow them to grow a little and you can put them on eBay, give them to friends who have aquariums. Unlike land Snails, Apple Snails are boys OR girls. I know mine are boys so sadly I've never had babies My two are fascinating, funny, lovable & I adore them. If you really don't want the babies, you could freeze them.....But throwing them away is cruel.

I don't know about aquatic snails, but with terrestrial snails we do egg checks in the tank periodically to make sure we don't wind up with unwanted babies. Most of us freeze unwanted eggs, but try to give away any babies that wind up hatching.
