This story is a 100 % real.
Winnie did survive Gut extrusion.
I was going to go to bed yesterday but first I was going to feed my two Achatina achatina pet snails. Their names are Gardenia and Winnie. Winnie had dug a pit and has settled down there, and I took her up to see if she wanted some food, but then I noticed something horrible. You can see what i saw on the photo down here.

I asked on a swedish site for all kind of animals if someone knew what this was. I had no idea, i've never heard about gut extusion before. Next morning someone had answer my question, a person that helped me and she's worth gold. She told me that it was gut extrusion and that it did'nt look good. She knew about a snail in France that had survive this horrible sickness, no one else.. I knew that this was the last day with my beautiful snail, the snail I loved with all of my heart. She was doomed to death. I love my snails, they got a heart to and I love all of my pets. They're more than snails to me, and Winnie was kind of special.
I went to her and Gardenias place and took Winnie up again. She crawled slowly out of the shell and then it had become worse. The little I saw of her gut extrusion yesterday was now even worse. And this is how it did look.

I was so scared, there's no words for it. I was shaking and crying. I did'nt want to lose Winnie! My friend on Zoonen (the swedish animalsite where I asked for help) told me that the best thing I could do for Winnie was to let her fall asleep.. forever. And I did agree, I did'nt wanted to see my baby like this.
I was going to tell my cute friend goodbye that evening, I took her up for the third time to kiss her shell. But then, something strange happened. She came out of the shell and.. where was the gut extrusion? The first thing I was thinking about was that "Oh.. it's Gardenia, wrong snail". But, Gardenia and Winnie are not looking the same. This snail, this "healthy" snail I held was Winnie. The gut extrusion was gone. I was so happy that I was crying and it was like it was'nt real. She did now look like this..

My beautiful, wonderful snail is not sick anymore. Winnie did survive gut extrusion!
Right now I'm sitting here, smiling, and I got my two Achatina achatinas Gardenia and Winnie beside me. They're eating some cucumber and Winnie is happy that she's still alive.
What ever happens now, I will always be proud of her. She did fight to survive, and she did it. She will always be special, and always loved. Gardenia is so happy that her sister did survive, I swear that I almost can see a smile on their face.
It's hard to snails to survive the horrible "gut extrusion", but it's not impossible. Winnie showed me that.
I love you, Winnie, and I will always do. <3
Thanks to Moa, on Zoonen, for all help you gave me.
Tack så himla mycket för all hjälp!
