I recently massively upgraded my snails' home, and it now takes a LOT of soil to fill, so am trying to find ways of cutting down on clean outs!!
I am going to buy 80 tiger worms, which I will divide into my 3 tanks, to help keep the waste down, but would adding worms be enough?? What's the best way to keep Clean outs to a minimum??
I was thinking about trying make a sort of mini ecosystem whereby the tank becomes pretty much self-cleaning and stopped being a cage and became more of a indoor garden or mini 'world'. Is this possible? Is it possible to make a self cleaning habitat??
Thanks for reading ;D

I could have done with a self cleaning tank today, after having a sniff at the tanks air vent, there was a smell in one of them. On investigation there was a large smelly poop on the lid of the tank. I've cleaned up plenty poop but never smelly like that - would love to make a big habitat myself so I am very interested in any ideas too..

I really don't know maybe if you have a massive tank then probably I was thinking of making a mini world myself too but when I started it it was too hard things didn't fit , didnt work it's quite hard but I didn't have a large tank or container at the time but if you do then it would be possible somehow but I think it's a great idea nature is doing her work in your mini world so you don't have too how cool

I use woodlice (pillbugs) to keep the snail poop and uneaten food particles under control, but I don't know how to clean the slime off the walls except manually. But I have only a couple of small snails in a small tank, so it's not really a big undertaking.
