Achatina varicosa are in captivity but they are still very rare and expensive to buy

I to have been intensly looking for this snail. Its my favorite Achatina by far. I never managed to come across anyone who is still selling, however.... landsnails.org/Snails.php# has them on his site as currently unavailable.. He breeds his own stock appart from the occasional wild caught stock he orders in. Best bet would be just to keep looking for a seller and of course do what im doing (keep checking landsnails.org). Like I said already he breeds his own stock, so its practicaly guarenteed that they will be come available on his site again. Keep an eye on it, because he does ship during winter, so if these have a final egg batch to come, likelyhood is he will list them before the winter is over

ya out of Achatina, Verico is my fav also probably, especially if you get a really good example of one, but you just don;t find them hardly at all yet. I imagine many are trying their best to breed them well though. I am not one of them regrettably.

i think best thing would be to just keep looking. then when someone does manage to find a seller, get some.. if its a relayable scource share it on the forum.. This way different people can get some of them and spread the breeding stock a little

I beleive were talking about Achatina Varicosa although if you want to be realy precise theirs no such thing as Achatina Varicosa either because that specific species true name is Cochlitoma varicosa
