Hiya Right, yesterday evening I noticed my aspersa seemed to be getting a bit fruity, they were all kissy and snuggly with each other and 1 had a bulging white spot behind his right eye, and another a white spot but not bulging. They had a nap and then carried on again but never mated, the 1 thats spot was bulging, still is and although hes asleep he isnt right back in his shell, could mating happen soon? I stayed up hours last night waiting. I have followed all their 'cuddles' with photos and it would be fantastic to get a complete photo diary of the mating process. Oh aslo 1 of them was paying alot of attention to his own shell and tail, seemed to be cleaning it. Anyone know? Thanks Nat

Hmmm I have been wondering about this. Eric got a big white buldge on his neck yesturday, but there were no other snails around. A photo diary would be great tho.

Most snails that are sexually mature have the hole which does bulge a bit, obviously this bulges more when a love-dart is about to appear. Photo-diaries, already planned

Oh. So they are just teasing me then! Nothing has happened, 2 still have white spots. Oh well! photo diaries would be fab, thats what I was hoping to get, I got loads of them 'kissing'. They are on my desk though and I am here most of the day everyday so hopefully I won't miss it when it does happen Nat
