Hiya Any idea how long fulica tend to take to lay after mating? I am sure mine mated a couple of nights ago, checked 1's air hole and can't see anything yet, other won't come out far enough. They are both burying on and off though and usually they sleep in pots or on the lid. Also, has it ever been known to kill a fulica? 1 of the ones that mated is still very ill and thin, I can't see it managing it if it is Bit worried. Nat

I would think a week or so( but they can store sperm for months..).Don't know if it can kill a fulica but egglaying is quite a strain on a snail so if it is in bad health it might be just too much......

I read that the time of gestation was about 2 months. LoL, the guy who published that lives in slow motion, so. Some weeks seems to be more certain. Good luck Nat, and give more news about it.
