Are they alone in a tank together and have they never had chance to mate with anything else in the past or currently? I'm just keen to know whether any offspring will be definitely from this pairing, though I guess iredalei/smithii babies shouldn't be too difficult to spot.

its a small tank with 1 iredalei and one smithii and 2 smithii babies. they definitely mated i saw their penises inside each other...

I didn't doubt that, it is just that coz they can store sperm and select which fertilises their eggs, it is impossible to know if the babies are from that pairing unless, they've only ever had each other to breed with. But seeing as iredalei and smithii are so different, surely crossbreeds would be obvious.

i really really hope that babies appear theyd be soooo cute. but i doubt it. but i guess...tigers and lions can have babies.
if i had babies would people be interested or not?
