I recently bought a white fleshed margie from www.livestock.naturalworldexperience.com/snails.html Its in a tank with my fulica thats now had about 15 eggs, Im not clued up on what to do exactly but does anyone know whether these would hatch as being a cross breed? Thankyou Laura

they won't be cross bred, which snail has laid the eggs?
if it's the margie then it would have already been pregnant when you bought it. If the fulica then it has probably self fertilised unless you have had him with another fulica in the past in which case he probably mated.

It's highly unlikely that these two snails will crossbreed. They might be infertile, but if you don't want any more fulica's I recommend you freeze the eggs.

I remember reading on here that Lissachatina and Archachatina snails cant cross-breed,
what size are the eggs? maybe the fulica laid the eggs through parthenogenesis, or the margie was already with eggs when you bought it?

Yes freeze the eggs unless you want to keep the babies

Ah i see, learn something new everyday! Theyre fairly large eggs, presume they were from the fulica. Freezing it is then, Thanks you lot!

margie eggs are around 2cm in size, fulica eggs are about half a cm
