I have just come home to find 3 eggs clumped together in the tank. I would like to hatch these but not sure what to do now. I have put them into a seperate small plastic geo but kept them in the main tank where it is 25oC .
If anyone can answer the following questins it would be great! -
do i leave them to hatch or break them open? if i break them open and there is a live snail inside will it be o.k after being opened ? What if i open them too early and the baby is not developed properly?
do i have to keep them moist?
why have they laid only 3?
its the first eggs i have had from them - is it likely they will hatch?
how long do il leave it before i know they won't hatch or are infertile?
Sorry to ask so many questions but i have been waiting for eggs for ages!!!!

do not open them!
Are these your first eggs? you seem pretty excited
Are you planning on keeping the babies? you won't get rid of them!
If they are your snails first batch and the fact there are only 3 means they are likely to be infertile and not hatch although they have been known to,
Depending on what temperature they are kept at they can take 1 day to 1 month!

Yes, you do have to keep them moist and warmish. Like Sarah said, they probably wil be infertile. One of my fulica has just laid about 100 eggs and this is it's first ever batch. So, I don't know why yours have only laid 3.

What colour are they? Are they translucent and squishy? Because if they are then they are definetly infertile.

they don't need to be squishy to be infertile, first batches are for a snail i think is probably like becoming a man, lol, a practise batch no matter how big, and once the deeds been done the first time then fertile batches are produced always from then on *babbles on a bit, still not making sense*
hehe, your snail lost it virginity, rofl
