So I have been searching the net to find different types of food aquatic snails will eat and here are some that I scooped from a few sites. Vegetables and fruit.
I am still looking for aquatic plants they would like to eat. I am not concerned about them destroying the aesthetics of the tank by eating the aquatic plants.
[glow=red,2,300]Vegetables[/glow]: Dill Weed Turnip Greens Collards Parsley Kale Watercress Lettuce (I have had no luck with mine eating this) Carrot Slices (again no luck getting mine to eat this) Swiss Chard Green Beans ( no luck getting them to eat this) Canned Green Beans ? Cucumber (again no luck with this either)
[glow=red,2,300]Fruit[/glow]: Seedless Raisins Orange Papaya Raspberries Grapes Blackberries
[glow=red,2,300]Aquatic Plants?[/glow] (Does anyone have some names for these and other vegetables and fruits to add?)

Some snails only eat algae. This is especially true for many of the snails kept in fish tanks, as most aquarists care more about aesthetics and plants than about snails. I think Pomacea bridgesii is one of these snails. Thay should get algae flakes or pellets (meant for fish that eat algae) if there is little algae in the aquarium. Some snails also eat (leftover) fish food of all varieties and fish poo.

Hi tsrebel , I have been feeding mine algae chips and fish food. I am not sure how much I should be feeding them that. I place about 4 algae chips in a day and one sprinkle of fish food and they consume it really fast right away. Especially the Golden Apple snail. She is like a fish food vacuum. vallery
