Hi, im new to this forum but really need some help with my snails. I have lost 3 in the past 2 days I had 3 tiger nerite's and 2 red spotted nerite's in my freshwater aquarium with 4 platy's. they have been with me for about 4 weeks now. The tank is 70 litre, has a heater, a filter and lots of plants. When i went to check on them the other day i noticed 2 of them where upside down, like the has lost grip of the side of glass and fell, i picked them both up and pu them the right away asap but unfortuanlty they went to snail heaven shortly after. The next morning i noticed another snail upside down and he shortly followed to snail heaven. I have 2 left really dont want to lose them too. Water quality in my tank is good, I do a 25-50% change frequently and my fish are not aggressive, they hardly even notice the snails. I also noticed that my snails actually seem to hang out above the water level alot too if this helps. Has anyone got any idea what has happened in my tank that seems to be killing my poor snails off one by one?

Hi fluffynemo, welcome to the forum I'm afraid I have no experience whatsoever with aquatic snails - I think most of us here on the forum have land snails, but I know a few members do keep or have kept aquatic snails too, so hopefully someone will be able to give you some advice
