Any known issues with this? I was thinking of perhaps a young pancake slug or something in with a young iredelei and another type of young snail. Should make a nice variety.
Are there any species of slug that are carnivorous or poisonous that I should definately avoid? Those bananna slugs look nice, but with that colouring, it makes me wonder if they are safe.

pancake slugs will be fine, i think (unless they have any different requirements to snails)
i dont think banana slugs are carniverous,
but limax maximus is. its got patterns like a leopard and lives in britain, reaching 15cm

I wouldnt personally, all the pancake slugs currently available are wild caught and have mites and maybe other parasites that can transmit to snails...There should be captive bred pancake slugs soon, but I still would keep them seperate...I wouldnt keep them together for another reason that they are from a completly diffrent part of the world, if African Slugs ever became available I may consider keeping them with wild caught african snails though.
Limax maximus (leopard slug) are carnivorous and will eat other snails and slugs and even pick at larger GALs, Banana Slugs are not poisonous as far as I know, but I would keep them seperate from African Snails personally.

The colour depends on environment, diet and health and can change. So if you got some yellow banana slugs they may not stay yellow for long...

I wonder if the antifreeze found in slug slime could be harmful to snails? Any thoughts?
