I didn't used to have waterdishes in my tanks, but since I've put them in there I noticed that especially the Margies like go in there.I wonder if anybody has noticed this with their Margies?

My margies don't have a waterbowl yet. They live with babies (well, they're not so big themselves either, around 4-5 cm in shellength) and don't want them drowning. They'll get one when they're bigger

For my babies I either fill the reptile water bowls I have just a tiny bit, or I use the round lids off of things like pringle tins. I'm also working on an idea with those water bowls that re-fill themselves. The ones with the bottle that you fill with water then it re-fills till the bottle is empty? I'm gonna get one and put some nice smooth pebbles in the water dispenser bit, so that they still get the water but it isn't as deep. Will be very handy for my Margie if he likes the water as much as everyone elses lol.

there isn't much chance of snails drowning unless it's really deep, my babies are about 2-3cm shell length and they go in the water just leaving a bit of their shell and their eyes sticking out, the stay there for a while and then move out especially if the waters warm :-) Don't worry about the snails head being under water cuz they don't breath through their mouth they breath through their air hole so they will usually go under the water and tilt their shells to the side so just the air hole is showing out of the water.
