Cleaning out the albino margies today and what did I find............MORE EGGS!!!!!!! 8 of them I really don't think that these can be fertile though, when do they mate? ? do they spend all night mating whilst I am asleep, they seem so lazy during the daytime hours but then maybe they are just tired out I think they lay eggs just because they can, maybe out of boredom, I now have in total 32 eggs and not one has hatched!!!! Instead of being pleased I am wondering now what to do with them all, well for the time being they will just have to stay where they are, I have run out of pots!! Val

LOL, must be something in the air, all margies seem like wanting to lay eggs. Well you'd never know Val, there must be at least one out of 32 eggs that will hatch.

I have 4 adlut margies and this year (well past 3 months) i have had 54 margie eggs of which 16 hachted from the first 26 and 5 survived (so far no thanks to my panthera) and the next 24 eggs i moved around too much so pretty much blown the chances of them hatching, and the latest 4 are infertile, soo.......

If my two big fat lazy gits (aka Boycie and Marlene) finally got off their snailie bums and mated, yours wont be long *lol* Honestly, I have to put them on food sometimes, I swear they'd have me chew it too

Does any one know anything about the australian subgenus hadra? I have noticed my big snail has this mad retractable single antenae kind of thing in the centre of its head. Does this have something to do with mating or breeding. Can someone help me?

Is this in the centre between the tentacles or on the side?(in which case it has something to do with mating)
